IHMG — Hiking Weekend, Part 2: O’Bannon Woods, Falls of the Ohio, & Charlestown

Day 2 of Jean and Janelle’s hiking weekend will cover three state parks in southern Indiana.

The plan for Saturday is as follows:

10:30am: Hike O’Bannon Woods State Park. The meeting place will be the Nature Center parking lot, and the hike will cover trail B (2 miles, moderate) and trail A (2 miles, moderate).

12pm: Leave for Falls of the Ohio

12:30pm: Lunch near Falls of the Ohio State Park

2pm: Hike Falls of the Ohio. Here the meeting place will be the Interpretive Center parking lot, and the plan will be to hike the Woodland Park loop (0.75 miles, moderate) and then walk the Ohio River Causeway (distance TBD, easy).

3:30pm: Leave Falls of the Ohio for Charlestown

4pm: Hike Charlestown State Park. The meeting place will be the parking lot near the Maintenance Building and the hike will be trail 3 (2.1 miles, rugged) and trail 7 (0.9 miles, easy).

6pm: Leave Charlestown

7pm: Dinner in Madison, IN
