SUMMARY:IHMG -- Hike @ Whitewater Memorial
DESCRIPTION:This Saturday we’ll be making a road trip to this state park south of Richmond\, IN. The territory at Whitewater Memorial is mainly moderate with some hilly sections\, and we’ll plan on covering about 7 miles in around 3 hours. \nWe’ll meet in the park at the parking lot for Poplar Grove Shelter. A map of Whitewater Memorial is located at the DNR website here (http://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/2962.htm) and Poplar Grove is designated as Shelter A on the map. \nAdmission to the park is $7 per vehicle. \nFor anyone interested in some late lunch after the hike\, we’ll plan to drive about 30 minutes north to Richmond to grab a bite at Galo’s Italian Grill (http://www.galositalian.com/). \nCar Pool Info: We’ll meet on the west side of Bishop Chatard High School\, on the corner of Kessler Boulevard and Crittenden Avenue\, at 5885 Crittenden Avenue. The parking along the street on Crittenden is free on Saturdays. We’ll meet on the sidewalk in front of the school.
