So what if it’s gonna be the hottest day of the year? I don’t know about you but I am always cooler when I’m on a river! JOIN ME on a (favorite) scenic 10 mile paddle of White River through southern Morgan County! With SO MANY sandbars there will be SO MANY places to pull off on for a relaxing dip in the river!
As of 7/16/19 the river has a steady flow so it will be more of a relaxed paddle or, more like a float, but skills will be needed on some sections. But do note that “newbies” have nothing to worry about….as long as you are wearing a (required) PFD!
PACK A LUNCH – for with, so many sandbars we will stop along the way for some grub.
Our trip will end immediately after the ONLY overpass of Henderson Ford Road at the PAS. (Public Access Site)

DO NOTE! The launch site is 300 yards from the parking area so plan accordingly. I have a kayak dolly to use. If Laurie can make it she has one as well.
HOWEVER, I am waiting on a callback from the parks department to see if someone can meet us there to unlock the gate long enough to let us unload just a few feet from the river!
